As a former L.A. resident, born and bred on Bay Area sports and now currently living in Arizona (and a fan of the Coyotes, too), I don’t feel a ton of emotion about the Stanley Cup Finals. I may watch them, I may not. I also happen to HATE HATE HATE all the TNT NBA movie/playoff crossover promotions. I think there’s a cool concept hiding in there, but I don’t think it’s executed very well.

So, as a ┬áchallenge to myself I wondered if, instead of bitching about someone else’s work, I could create a compelling “crossover ad.” I realized there’s only so much you can do, but as someone who has loved the idea of the NHL and HBO developing a campaign:
